We

are a preschool that sees children as global citizens

Every child is curious about the world around them. We want children to explore that world — on their own and alongside others. A world we all belong to, and that everyone should have the same chance to discover.

Teaching in smaller groups

We divide the group when we teach. In a smaller group the educator has time to see what your child is actually trying to do.

Swedish as the base – English every day

The lead teacher is always Swedish-speaking. Every group also has an English-speaking educator. The children meet the languages in everyday life – not as a scheduled subject.

Your child’s mother tongue has a place

During settling-in we find out which languages live in your home. It is not a formality – we use them in our teaching.

We read aloud every day

Books are within reach, not put away. Our library is in several languages, and our staff speak them.

Analogue learning tools

The children do not sit in front of screens. With the older children they are used in specific projects, such as exploring science and technology.

Outdoors is a classroom

Not a break between activities – part of the teaching, with varied physical activity recurring through the day.

A day

with us – from drop-off to pick-up

  1. Children arriving at preschool in the morning

    A welcome at the door

Every child is greeted by name. You get a calm moment to hand over — how the night went, whether anything feels important today — before we take over.

  2. Children eating breakfast

    Breakfast, or straight outside

If you arrive early, the day begins around the table – we eat together and take time to talk. If you arrive later we are already out in the yard, and that is where we meet you instead. No start is the wrong one.

  3. Children and teachers gathered on the floor

    Circle time in two languages

We greet each other, sing, and go through what the day holds — in Swedish and English. The children know what to expect.

  4. A teacher and children exploring at a light table

    Learning in small groups

Exploration guided by the children's interests and the national curriculum: language, creativity, mathematics and science. Our teachers plan for each child, not just for the group.

  5. Children running and playing outdoors

    Out in the fresh air

The yard and the surrounding neighbourhood are part of the preschool. Here bodies get to move, and play happens on the children's own terms.

  6. A teacher and children preparing food together

Lunch – both good and educational

Nutritious, sugar-free and largely organic food. The children help set the table, eat at their own pace and try new flavours. We always cater for allergies.

  7. A teacher sitting with children in a quiet corner

    Rest and recovery

The youngest sleep. The older ones wind down with a book or a story. A pause in the middle of the day that everyone needs.

  8. Children at the table

An afternoon snack of fruit and vegetables

A breathing space in the afternoon. Fruit and vegetables are always on the table, and the meal takes as long as it takes.

  9. Children playing with a wooden train set

Play and choices of their own

The afternoon belongs to the children. They choose what to do — with teachers close by, watching and supporting.

  10. A teacher and child outdoors in the afternoon light

    Pick-up and handover

No one goes home without knowing how the day went. We tell you what your child played, learned and experienced — and what you can talk about together at home.
