We apply the admission rules that the City of Stockholm has approved for our preschools.
Our preschools are part of the City of Stockholm’s shared admissions queue. Applications are made through the city’s e-service Edlevo, and places are allocated according to the city’s selection criteria.
Available places are allocated in the following order:
- Children who need special support in their development in the form of preschool.
- Children with a place guarantee who risk not being offered a place within the guarantee period.
- Children with siblings in the same household who already have a place with us.
- Children with the longest waiting time who want a place for the month in which it becomes available, or earlier. If several children have the same waiting time, the child’s date of birth decides — older children are offered a place before younger ones.
Fees
We apply the national maximum fee (maxtaxa). From 1 July 2026, an allowance of SEK 10,000 is deducted from the household’s total monthly income before tax, before the fee is calculated. If the household has a total income of less than SEK 10,000 per month, no fee is charged.
The fee is calculated on a maximum of SEK 51,560 per month, which corresponds to a household income of SEK 61,560 before the allowance is deducted. If the household earns more than that, the full maximum fee applies.
For the youngest child the fee is 3% of the income after the allowance, at most SEK 1,547 per month (full-time). For the second child the fee is at most SEK 1,031 and for the third at most SEK 516. From the fourth child there is no fee.
Allmän förskola (universal preschool): from August of the year the child turns 3, 525 hours per year are free of charge, which corresponds to about 15 hours per week during the school terms. If the child attends more than that, a lower part-time rate applies instead of the full rate — 2% for the first child and 1% for the second and third, at most SEK 1,031 and SEK 516 per month respectively.
The amounts apply from 1 July 2026.
